A brand identity and an online sales tool
Autori varie wishes to equip itself with a logo and a graphic charter that is in line with a design trend, of course, but that also expresses tradition and craftsmanship.
Creation
148 took charge of creating the brand identity and its graphic charter (logo, business cards, envelope...) as well as the web design of the online sales site.
“The logo is a graphic representation of the universal way to write Autori Vari -aavv-. The general idea was to graphically reproduce the blend between the world of Italian functionalist rationalism of the 1950s and the tradition of artisanal production: a modern design with a manual realization.”

Development: a customized Prestashop site
To meet the e-commerce needs of Autori Vari, the web team at 148 used the PrestaShop e-commerce CMS platform as the foundation of their site and online store.
Beyond customizing the graphic interface, 148 implemented specific developments, notably supporting multilingual display simultaneously. A choice in line with the philosophy and personality of the brand, always highlighting its Italian touch.
Details of the development and launch stages:
- Definition of the site structure

Specific management of aavv needs in the CMS
aavv has a particular need in the display of craftsmen and designers. 148 recommends changing certain display and operation methods of PrestaShop (in compliance with PrestaShop core override rules). Display of article lists and specific layouts by category.
Once these page templates are defined, web design is taken into account and we develop specific content management modules, as well as the implementation of some automations like image formatting.
Module Customizations
148 creates the following modules: Menu / Footer / Random Content Module / Slider.
Each of these modules supports multilingual functionality and is editable via the back office.
Secure Access Content Management
aavv wants to provide Press content securely, 148 sets up a login-password access system.
Complex Management of the Manufacturing Process
Autori Vari produces unique pieces on demand, so delivery times are longer than on other commercial sites.
We have added several states in the ordering process, allowing the customer to follow the steps of product creation. (i.e. the craftsman begins the product manufacturing / manufacturing is complete / your item leaves Italy to be delivered to you...)
Complex Language Management
aavv wishes to maintain the omnipresence of the Italian language.
The notion of bilingualism has been implemented by 148, by modifying the core of PrestaShop.
To facilitate site management by aavv, a simple keyword informs the system when the entered text is in French, Italian, or English.
Complex Management of Various Carriers
Having very varied products (of different sizes and weights) and clients worldwide, aavv wishes to multiply carriers to offer the best rates to its clients.
148 configures and installs various partner transport modules, an API queries their pricing grids based on the delivery address and provides a real-time updated price.
Optimization
Performance Improvement
Removal of functions that aavv does not use in order to improve performance and then position content areas according to the design.
