IKEA and its subsidiary INTER IKEA are opening a new store in the West, in the region of Caen, in Fleury-sur-Orne. This is an ambitious project in terms of sustainable development, aiming to create a pleasant living environment that prioritizes green spaces on the site. Emphasis has also been placed on the integration of disadvantaged populations in partnership with the ANPE, as well as on the accessibility of the site for sensitive audiences in collaboration with associations such as Handicap mieux vivre.
IKEA wishes to create educational documents intended for an audience that may not necessarily be specialists in architectural projects of such magnitude, as part of an official presentation of the project to local elected officials.
Advice
Artistic direction and assistance 7/7
As part of this call for tenders, the presentation to the elected officials is an important milestone; we take care of the artistic direction and support IKEA during this "rush" by remaining available 7/7 throughout the project to meet the very tight deadlines.
Creation
A vector illustration of the building
The graphic studio produces a vector illustration as well as five large format panels. For the creation of educational documents, 148 works in partnership with the construction and development management of the IKEA group, and INTER IKEA Centre Group, the architectural firm Guérin Pedroza, and the strategic consulting agency for sustainable development Utopies.
To represent the building in its environment, the graphic studio at 148 creates a very precise vector illustration that will be usable in all print formats.
This technique — while reinforcing the seriousness of the approach — allows for greater creative freedom compared to architect software.
